Slate Island Brewing Company is a small craft brewery on the northern shore of Lake Superior. Located in Terrace Bay, ON (approx. 2 hours east of Thunder Bay) They love to experiment with different beers and flavor profiles. This trail takes advantage of all sides of the mountain, offering nearly a full 360 degree view of the region and a variety of the area's stunning geological features. This trail provides stellar views of a variety of stunning features of this portion of Lake Superior and a great chance to sit back, relax and enjoy from any of the three platform lookouts.

Red Lion Smokehouse is a barbecue restaurant and smokehouse in Thunder Bay’s waterfront district. We love great food and good beer so we created a place where you can enjoy both. Our beer list is made up of craft brews from local breweries as well as our favourite British and American brews. Our food is homemade with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. We smoke our meat slow and low and then finish it in a Josper grill to seal in the flavour and keep the meat moist and tender.
Sit in our dining room overlooking Lake Superior and try our famous prime rib. The Red Dog Inn is the only restaurant on the north shore with a salad bar. We also have a conveniently located Pizza Hut Express on site.
The Atikokan Recreation and Wellness Centre was opened in 2018 when a multi-million dollar project to connect and renovate the existing Atikokan Municipal Swimming Pool and Community Arena was completed. The result of this project is a modern, fully accessible facility with a 14,580 square foot ice surface, 25m long pool and multi-purpose room perfect for rentals.
