Sandy Beach

Located on Wabigoon Lake within Dryden City limits, Sandy Beach Recreational Area is an ideal location for several summer activities including hiking, swimming, fishing, picnicking, and birding. Flat Rock provides easy access for fishing.

 

There is a nine-hole golf course, baseball diamonds and soccer pitches. The park is also available for birthdays or other events.

Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, Grotto, and Cemetery

Ukrainian Orthodox Church

Construction of this Ukrainian Catholic church in the Rural Municipality of Springfield began in 1930, designed by priest-architect Philip Ruh, and it was consecrated 22 years later. Reverend Ruh worked
alongside his congregation in building the largest of his remaining creations in Manitoba. He also supervised construction of the adjacent Grotto, a representation in concrete of the Grotto at Lourdes, France. 

St. Andrews Rectory

Supported by the RM of St. Andrews, the St. Andrews Heritage Centre showcases the history of the St. Andrews area. Tours, programs and events are held at the centre for the public to enjoy. The Heritage Centre is located in the St. Andrews Rectory, a National Historic Site owned by Parks Canada.

Marine Museum of Manitoba

Marine Museum

Established in 1972 the Marine Museum of Manitoba provides visitors with a hands on, heritage experience. We tell the story of the development and the operation of marine life on Lake Winnipeg and the Red River circa 1850 to present day. Visitors get to board the actual ships that navigated the waters of the world’s tenth largest lake and will learn about how the Port of Selkirk played a vital role in the development of Manitoba.
