Open from May to September, the park is a great option for day trips as well as overnights as it's equipped for RVs and any other kind of camping.

Makoop Lake Lodge is situated approximately 230 miles NNW of Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada. It is located beyond the end of the road, and the only way to reach it is by float plane or over the dangerous ice road during winter, which is used to deliver staple supplies for the next season. The remote fishing camp was built 14 years ago on Makoop Lake, which is a vast body of water covering 28,000 acres and is mostly unexplored. There are no other camps on the lake.
