Chat Noir Books is not an ordinary bookstore. Its cozy atmosphere, tin ceiling, and aroma of coffee make it unique. It's a place where people can unwind, catch up with friends, play board games, and peruse through books. We serve as a hub for our community and a stopover for travelers, adventurers, readers, musicians, vagabonds, and writers. At our bookstore, everyone is welcome, and our book collection reflects our community's interests and current events.

You will be able to purchase our range of fair trade certified coffees freshly roasted on site and our range of quality teas and herbal teas sold in loose leaf form.

Home is steps from Shabogesic Beach, next to Lake Nipissing, and 15 minutes from Jack Garland Airport. Nipissing University and Canadore College are both 10 minutes away. Nestled in downtown North Bay, you’ll be next to city dining and lake cruises. Relax at our complimentary Welcome Home Reception on Wednesdays, or with some in-suite cooking. WiFi and breakfast are on us.

The Chief Commanda II is a 320-passenger, all-aluminium twin-hull vessel that cruises at a speed up to 13 knots or 25 km/h. The ship is equipped with two bars, handicap accessible washrooms, snack bar, and open-air BBQ. There are 5 cruises, ranging from 1.5 hours to 4.5 hours.

Open for lunch and dinner, there is no dress code or reservations, be cottage casual.

28 on the Lake, formerly known as Rooster’s Bar and Grill, is a family-friendly restaurant located in Temiskaming Shores.

An organic fruit and vegetable farm featuring corn, rhubarb, raspberries and pick-your-own strawberries. They offer a wide range of products from apertifs to finishing salts to herbal teas. Check their calendar for upcoming events on the farm.
