The Hoito Restaurant is well known in Thunder Bay and far beyond. Serving Finnish specialties and great breakfasts and more since 1918, people have come to know the comfortable atmosphere. We are currently serving our customers every Wednesday and Saturday at our satellite location at the Thunder Bay Country Market. Starting as a cooperative dining hall, the Hoito is once again managed by a cooperative - The Finlandia Co-operative of Thunder Bay Inc.

Stop off at Manitoulin Brewing’s Silo Cafe (also knowns as The Trough) the patio’s bar is made from an old grain silo. Try the Swing Bridge Blonde Ale—you’ll be driving across its namesake shortly! Other favourites include the Cup and Saucer Ale and the Bridal Veil Pale Ale.

Enjoy the huge licenced patio with gorgeous lakeside views and seasonal onsite food truck. Our tasting room offers beer samples, by the 12oz glass, beer to go, merch and brewery tours.
