If you want an adventure, then Silver Falls is your destination. Silver Falls is within Silver Falls Provincial Park, 35 km northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. This pristine fall is a trek to get into, and out of, but it is the perfect destination for those that would like to do backcountry camping. The trail begins with a steep descending section with a rope to aid hikers.

Easily accessible and close to restaurants and amenities, Spruce Beach has a sandy shoreline where you'll want to toss off your shoes and feel the warm sand between your toes. It has a supervised swim area, sandy bottom with clear water, playground, picnic areas, washroom facilities, and parking.

Norman Beach in Kenora is bustling with activity. Besides the beautiful sandy beach, there is a playground, washrooms, and a picnic shelter. In the summer months, Hoopla Island, a gigantic inflatable playground island is situated at the beach. Take the wheelchair-friendly path to the Rotary Splash Park. Just up from the Splash Park is the Lake of the Woods Railway Museum and Dairy Queen.

Keewatin Beach is located on the shores of Lake of the Woods off Beach Road in Kenora (Keewatin). It's easy to find, just turn off Highway 17 west onto Main Street, then right (west) onto Beach Road. There is a nice small sand beach, washrooms, play structure, dock to jump off of, and picnic shelter. 

Thunder Bay's first downtown hostel, only two blocks from the waterfront and in the middle of the city's best culinary scene! The Haven Hostel has private and shared rooms with shared kitchen.

This park offers a camping experience fit for everyone with large RV sites, car camping, and yurts with over 3 km of sandy beach and clear clear blue water.

In the heart of Ontario's Sunset Country, this spot just outside of Dryden is a great place for the whole family. Bring your boat and fish the famous Wabigoon chain of lakes for walleye, northern, bass and world record size muskie.

Just a small drive down Hwy 61, you will find Founders’ Museum & Pioneer Village. There you will touch history in this unique Northwestern Ontario Pioneer Village.

Down Hwy 61, you will find Eagle Ridge Trout Pond which has been owned and operated for over 15 years. Here you can fish in a relaxing park setting where everyone has a good chance of catching something. This catch and release is a place where people of all ages can come and enjoy hassle-free fishing.
