The Schreiber Public Library is a community organization committed to the open provision of library resources that will enhance personal and community quality of life.
The Atikokan Recreation and Wellness Centre was opened in 2018 when a multi-million dollar project to connect and renovate the existing Atikokan Municipal Swimming Pool and Community Arena was completed. The result of this project is a modern, fully accessible facility with a 14,580 square foot ice surface, 25m long pool and multi-purpose room perfect for rentals.
Harry Lake Lodge offers a unique wilderness fishing experience in a pristine remote setting. Our guests are provided with warm personalized service, luxurious accommodations including private baths, gourmet meals and amenities not usually found in the wilds of Northwestern Ontario. A soothing sauna, relaxing hot tub, and surround-sound system ensures our guests are pampered while experiencing the joy of great fishing on a lake that’s teeming with Walleye and Northern Pike. Open May through September every summer.

Dorion Public Library provides free and open access to educational, technological and cultural materials and services, to foster success and to enrich the lives of the people in our community.
Our family is proud to have welcomed guests to experience, explore and care for this beautiful land for four generations spanning 80 years.
Located 40 miles north of Elliot Lake, we have 4 active camps located on Bark Lake and one camp on Petrie Lake, which we call a sister lake to Bark Lake. Bark Lake is 17 miles long and 330 miles of lake shore which truly gives you a lot of water to fish from. Bark Lake has not only an abundance of Walleye but also Northern Pike and Lake Trout. All of our newly renovated camps have running water with a shower and all amenities to cook, fry fish, BBQ and dependable 9.9 outboard motors.
Enjoy nature at its best, challenging hills and a beautiful lookout with a tremendous view of the valley and town. Groomed trails with marked signage are provided by volunteers and welcoming landowners, the Thessalon Ski Trail is a picturesque adventure. The trails are equally accepting of beginners and moderate skiers with unique terrain and natural beauty. Outhouse facilities are available.
In December 2021 the Stewart Highlands Trails opened for year-round use to hike, bike, snowshoe, and cross-country ski.
Located along the Trans Canada Highway, minutes Northwest of the bustling community of Wawa, Ontario, you will find Catfish Lakefront Cabins. The cabins and grounds sit lakefront on its namesake, Catfish Lake. Despite the ease of access, the property provides quiet comfort and privacy with no neighbors nearby. Relatively calm, the lake is 2 miles long and is home to Walleye (pickeral), Northern Pike, and Lake Trout.
