The Serpent River First Nation Trading Post is a destination on Trans Canada Hwy 17 for families and visitors travelling across Canada. Be greeted by friendly staff and the ambiance of the beautiful stone fireplace surrounded by Indigenous art and a Birchbark Canoe, handcrafted by members of Serpent River First Nation. The Trading Post sells work by local artisans, and the Art Gallery is has a large collection of different styles of art including Native and Woodland.
Serpent River Campground is located on Trans Canada Hwy 17, and caters to all types of travellers. Sites include large pull-thru, tenting and cabins by the river. The campground is pet-friendly and family-oriented. On-site services and amenities include laundromat, inground pool, gift shop and variety store, free WiFi.
We are open 7 days a week from May to mid October.

Completed in 1895, the Sault Ste. Marie Canal was once the world's longest lock, the first to operate using electricity and the last link in an all-Canadian navigational chain from the Atlantic Ocean to Lake Superior. Today, visitors will enjoy this great spot for boat-watching, picnics and a variety of other activities. Let a Parks Canada interpreter introduce you to the canal’s fascinating history, rent a Fat Bike, or join them for tea at the Superintendent’s Residence.
The Sault Golf Club is a member club that also welcomes public play.
