A gorgeous bird’s-eye view is always appealing, which is why when Nipigon was planning its waterfront development project, a lookout tower made it to the must-do list. Come and see for miles from this 12-metre-high tower, and learn more about the influence that this landscape had on the work of the Group of Seven with the Moments of Algoma Interpretive Panel.

The only operation provincial park on Manitoulin Island provides access to the scenic Lake Huron coastline. Whether you just want to stop in at the Visitor Centre or explore 15 km of hiking trails, it's a great spot to stretch your legs.

The Marathon Information Centre/Gchi-Waaswaaganing is fully staffed and operated from mid-May through to the end of September. The building is designed to reflect the communities in which it serves and highlights the vast history of the region. Local artisan works are displayed and available for purchase.

Curated by the Manitouwadge Archival and Historical Society, the Manitouwadge Museum is a must see for historical buffs. The MAHS plays an important role in maintaining and archiving the community’s history and beginnings, which they caringly do for everyone to enjoy.
The Larder Lake Tourist and Historical Information Centre boasts an archive of photographs and historical displays dating back to the town’s humble beginnings, as well as brochures and information on local hotspots. For those interested in taking a bit of the north home with them, we also host a souvenir table with a variety of items available for purchase.
