The Founders Museum and Pioneer Village is now called Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park.

Explore the ruins of Fort St. Joseph National Historic Site and feel the rich War of 1812 history that lingers – a history that saw a powerful alliance struck between the British and the First Nations People of the western Great Lakes region. Hike to Lake Huron’s edge, experience history through heritage demonstrations, watch for more than 200 species of birds, and view authentic artifacts from the old fort.

Nestled in the midst of Lake Temagami's abundant islands is a peninsula boasting thousands of kilometers of historic pine-lined shores. This area serves as the gateway to the expansive wilderness of Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater, which is a popular destination for canoeists, boaters, hikers, and anglers seeking adventure in the Temagami region. Visitors can camp underneath the towering stands of White and Red Pine trees on the shores of Lake Temagami, swim at sandy beaches, and dive into the deep, crystal-clear waters.

Eagles’ Landing is a challenging 9-hole course nestled along the shores of Wabigoon Lake. It is a par 36, 3348 yd from the green tees and 3155 yd from the gold tees. Dining room & full-service bar in the clubhouse. Pro Shop, power carts & club rentals.

Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and long sandy beach, Blue Lake is an outstanding destination for all types of water activities. Hiking trails range from easy, interpretive trails to longer day hikes.

Blue Jay Creek Provincial Park contains some of the largest raised beach and swale system on Manitoulin Island. Upland willow thickets are found at the beaches higher elevations. The forest cover is a mixture of cedar, spruce, and pine, and the extensive wetlands in the area include cedar, black spruce, and black ash swamp forest, open and tree bogs, treed fens, and riparian marshes. The park also includes a portion of Blue Jay Creek. This is a non-operating park. There are no activities or facilities at this park.

The drive along Highway 17 near Batchawana Bay offers outstanding views of Lake Superior. And Batchawana Bay Provincial Park is a perfect spot to stop and immerse yourself in this stunning scenery.
