Start your day with a drive along Cabot Trail. one of the world’s most scenic drives. For 300 km, the road winds through the Cape Breton highlands, climbs 500-metre-high capes, skirts rugged coastal headlands and passes through villages where ancient dialects can still be heard.
Take a drive to PEI National Park and explore the extensive walking trails, boardwalks, and coastline.
Soak up the views in scenic Mahone Bay where it is possible to take a boat ride or paddle the waters in a kayak. The picturesque villages and towns along the shore are a joy to explore, with quaint shops, excellent dining and welcoming locals.
Today, explore Nova Scotia’s south shore even further as you visit the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg and the beautiful coastline of Mahone Bay. Dive deeper into the province’s seafaring history in beautiful Lunenburg, home to the famous schooner the Bluenose, which appears on the Canadian dime.
Take a moment along the route to stop at this Ridge Road Lookout for views of Lake Ontario and Stoney Creek. Perched on the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, enjoy the views of Lake Ontario.
Explore the 6.0-kilometer loop trail near Agawa Bay, Ontario, which is generally considered an easy route and takes an average of 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete. This trail is a popular destination for camping, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some quiet time during less busy hours. The best time to visit this trail is between March and November. Dogs are allowed on the trail but must be kept on a leash.
See Sioux Lookout from the top of Sioux Mountain, located across the lake from the town. Whether hiking in the summer or sledding in the winter, this is a must-see when in the area.
Climb the Cox Bay Trail to the Lookout and get an aerial view of Cox Bay, Chesterman Beach, and Clayoquot Sound with Lone Cone Mountain in the background. An easy-moderate intensity, 2.6 km hike, approximately a 10-minute drive from Tofino town center.
A signature destination and attraction of Spencer Smith Park, the Brant Street Pier extends 137 m over Lake Ontario, providing breathtaking views of the lake and Burlington's shoreline.
