A perfect little spot to stop and fuel up after some incredible riding. Thanks to some recent work, a lot of the roads in this area have been freshly repaved—and they are lovely winding, sweeping curves all the way from Highway 400 to Highway 11. This is a quiet area, allowing you to enjoy the scent of the boreal forest, the lakes and streams dotting the landscape as you ride, and the small towns dotted along the way.
Midway on Highway 518, Sprucedale is the perfect spot to fill up, check out some local colour, and take a walk back in time. The Sprucedale Hotel opened in 1899, and not a thing has changed.
