Step back in time for the afternoon at the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology. No ordinary museum, this historic waterworks building, originally built in 1859, is home to massive steam-powered machinery and hands-on experiences showcasing a fascinating era of innovation and industrial heritage. Consider timing your trip for September’s Electric City Festival, conducted in partnership with the Nikola Tesla Education Corporation.

Farmtown Park

inside the museum

This museum is the best place to learn the history of farming. A visit will give you a nostalgic glimpse of our past, and a chance to think about the future. Our favourite of the nine buildings is the Heritage Village, where you can stroll through a replica of a 1930s small town complete with a saloon, garage and chapel. Pick up a self guided audio tour to further enhance your visit.
