Where the A112A trail meets the A trail, you'll find yourself surrounded by giant white pines.

You probably recognize this tree as its stately appearance on the Canadian Shield landscape was immortalized by artists like the Group of Seven. Easy to differentiate from other pines, they have a characteristic bundle of five long needles corresponding with the five-letter word, “w-h-i-t-e.” The upper part of the tree branches ascend, giving a broadly oval flat-topped, and usually asymmetrical outline.

Located near the Waterfront Centre in Hilton Beach on St. Joseph Island, the Hilton Beach Farmers' Market includes fresh baking, maple syrup, preserves, arts and crafts, fresh produce. Open June to September on Saturdays. 

The Johnson Farmer's Market offers fresh local produce and products to area residents and visitors in a lovely country atmosphere. You will find handcrafted products like textiles, leather goods, jewelry, berries and fruits, Alpaca products, maple syrup products, honey, baking, and meats.

This farmers' market is located outdoors under a fixed gazebo at the Iron Bridget Historical Museum. Open from the end of June to the end of September on Saturdays, market vendors sell locally grown produce, preserves and more.

The Algoma Farmers' Market has been selling fresh, local products in Sault Ste. Marie since 1901. This heritage market is held from 8 am to 1 pm every Saturday from June to October at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. Featuring produce, preserves and pickles, baking, artisans and craft vendors, producers of meat and harvesters of fish and berries. 

One of the delights of the Explorers Snow Tour crossing the Amable du Fond river. Located where OFSC A trail crosses Highway 630, it's named after the Chief who gave his name to the river as a significant watershed boundary between native clans.
