Naturally Superior Adventures and Rock Island Lodge are located on a seven-acre peninsula of boreal forest, pre-Cambrian greenstone, and fine gravel beaches on Lake Superior. The site is adjacent to the Michipicoten River and was once the property of the Hudson Bay Company of Adventurers, Canada’s oldest business. Canada’s leading provider of sea kayak, canoe, voyageur canoe, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) trips, instruction and outfitting on Lake Superior since 1994. Lodge Eighty Eight is a premier wilderness lodge owned and operated by the MacLachlan Family for over 60 years. The original lodge and new cabins are handcrafted from logs harvested and milled on-site.
