Leisure Farms also offers daily, fresh baked pastries such as homemade fruit pies, breads and award winning jams and jellies. Our family farm gives the opportunity for everyone to enjoy fresh air, view beautiful fields full of sweet red berries and the chance to connect with local or newcomers alike. Enjoying a day at our farm is an experience like no other and offers many the chance to unwind, make new friends and appreciate one of the community's best kept secrets.

The Miss McKenzie II: McKenzie Island's seasonal link to the mainland. This ferry transports people and goods from the mainland to their homes and cottages on McKenzie Island during the summer. When the lake freezes people either walk or drive to the island.

Discover Geraldton Interpretive Centre

The centrepiece of a massive mine reclamation project, the Discover Geraldton Interpretive Centre (GIC) opened its doors in July 2000 to offer visitors a truly unique experience in Northwestern Ontario. Highlighting how the past and present meet in a fantastic interactive heritage display, the GIC attracts hundreds of tourists each year, providing a quick break from their travels down Highway 11.

Chips 'R' Us

The perfect place for a quick bite when cruising Highway 11 is just north of the highway, in downtown Atikokan. Chips ‘R’ Us is open for business from mid-May to mid-October, Monday to Friday 11:30 am – 5:30 pm.

The M.S Chi-Cheemaun is a passenger ferry capable of transporting 600 passengers and 150 vehicles, offering scenic crossings between Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island. Our sailings highlight the incredible natural beauty of Georgian Bay and its stunning shorelines. Sunset Dinner Cruises offer a unique dining experience during the magical “golden hour”.

Diamond Willow Amethyst Mine

Founded in 1977 by Gunnard Noyes, Diamond Willow Amethyst Mine still remains as a family owned and operated amethyst mine passed down. Located beside Blue Points Amethyst mine they are just 55 kms east of Thunder Bay off Hwy 11/17 on Road #5 North. The mine is free of charge, and they charge by the bucketful or you can visit their gift shop for a polished piece of amethyst.

Johnson’s Beach

Johnson's Beach is a public beach on beautiful spring-fed Thunder Lake minutes from downtown Dryden.

 

It offers swimming, canoe/kayaking, fishing, restrooms and picnic areas. Open seasonally.
