Happy Land Campground has been owned and operated by the Altmann family for 55 years. We pride ourselves on running a clean, quiet, well-supervised park. Campers who have previously experienced the quality of our park return time and time again to stay with us while in the Thunder Bay area. We are located on Hwy. 11/17, just 16 miles West of Thunder Bay and 1 1/2 miles East of Kakabeka Falls. 

After exploring Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma area, there is no better place to relax than Glenview Cottages & Campground. We offer beautiful cottage rentals in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Canada. One and two-bedroom cottages are available for nightly, weekly, or extended stay rentals, year-round.

We also have a great seasonal campground open from May to October for transient campers. We offer RV sites, tent sites and campers cabins. Your own home away from home!  

The Founders Museum and Pioneer Village is now called Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park.

Explore the ruins of Fort St. Joseph National Historic Site and feel the rich War of 1812 history that lingers – a history that saw a powerful alliance struck between the British and the First Nations People of the western Great Lakes region. Hike to Lake Huron’s edge, experience history through heritage demonstrations, watch for more than 200 species of birds, and view authentic artifacts from the old fort.

Drifter's is a family owned Italian restaurant with an extensive menu including everything from Drifter's burgers to steak and lobster.

The Dorion Museum is located in Dorion in Ontario’s Superior Country. Dorion is home to one of the most notable natural attractions on the Lake Superior Circle Tour – Ouimet Canyon. When you visit the modest Dorion Museum you quickly learn not only about it’s history but of the sense of community and the people that make it so great. Every Sunday, June 12th - September 11th, 1 to 4 pm or call and make an appointment with any Committee Member.

This campground offers seven sites with electrical service and 16 open sites for camper trailers. Washroom and changeroom facility is available. There is a seasonal draw for campsites every year.

The Birchville Motel is conveniently located on the Trans-Canada Highway, one hour east of Thunder Bay. The motel will provide you with a friendly and comfortable stay, whether you are just passing through or planning on a lengthy stay in Nipigon. There are a variety of rooms available for guests, some with kitchenettes.  All rooms have free Wi-Fi, TV's, small fridges, microwaves, phones and complimentary coffee, bottled water and ice.  The ever popular family room with two rooms is always in great demand so be sure to book early.

A day-use park with a beautiful sandy beach, Batchawana Bay Provincial Park is an ideal spot for a family day at the beach. The drive along Hwy 17 North offers outstanding of Lake Superior and the rugged landscape. This park is open from mid-May to October for day use only.
