The Lac Seul Walleye Cup is an annual event in Ear Falls, ON. Held the last weekend of July, it has a cap of just 100 boats. The action is sure to be great!
Kinsmen Beach is also known as Keesic Beach. The long, beautiful beach on Red Lake features swimming, a picnic area and flush restroom facilities. There is a play structure there as well as a shelter for family picnics. There is also a roped-off swimming area. No lifeguards are present.
The Red Lake Anishinaabe Pow Wow is held here annually in June. What a fabulous setting for a Pow Wow!!

Government Docks is located in downtown Red Lake, and includes a public boat launch and docks. It is also the site of the popular Red Lake Fall Classic, a fishing tournament held annually on Labour Day Weekend.
The Erle Crull Rock and Mineral Collection is located in the Municipality of Red Lake office in Balmertown. This collection features 2,600 specimens of rock and minerals from around the world. The display can be seen Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Admission is free.
Stop at the waterfront park for a picturesque pit-stop. The site is a perfect place to stop to have lunch, spend the day, or just take in the scenery.
There is a large beach, a playing field, a covered picnic area, and a large restroom facility with a change room and showers. "The Patricia" a freight boat that was built in the 1930s and has been fully restored and is on display in Ear Fall's waterfront park.
Held annually on the second last weekend of September. Celebrations include a family dinner and dance, outdoor market, pony rides, blow-up basketball, carnival games, face painting, community barbeque, live band at the Waterfront, family breakfast, pillow case relay, and pumpkin carving contest.
The Fish Shop in Shuniah, known by generations of locals and visitors as the best place to buy fresh and Finnish-style smoked local fish, is located a short drive east of Thunder Bay. Opened in 1970, the shop has expanded over the years to encompass more of owner Liisa’s Karkkainen’s Finn heritage. You will find ready to heat Finnish meat pies and Karjalan piirakka (savory rice pudding pie) as well as blueberry, apple and/or rhubarb pies featuring local ingredients.
