Township of Pickle Lake

Township of Pickle Lake from above

Pickle Lake is the most northerly community in Ontario that is accessible year-round by road. Vast virgin forests stretch for hundreds of miles beyond the horizon. This huge wilderness is only 300 miles from the coast of Hudson Bay, Ontario's subarctic. There are a variety of accommodations in Pickle Lake including lodges, fly-in outpost cabins, and hotels.

Morson

Located about 35 miles north of the Canada-US Border, Morson is literally "at the end of the road." But for those who enjoy outdoor recreation, it is the beginning of a unique and wonderful outdoor experience. Morson and Bergland together make up the Township of Lake of the Woods. Morson has immediate access to unspoiled tracts of wilderness in the heart of the Lake of the Woods. This is truly a first-class recreation area for anglers, boaters, and nature lovers.

Township of Emo

downtown emo ontario

A vigorous resort community with a beautifully developed waterfront that includes a boat launch and park area as well as hiking and biking trails. Emo is a scenic stop on the "MOM's Way" (Manitoba-Ontario-Minnesota) route. Just north of Emo, off Highway 615 you'll find the Clearwater/Pipestone Chain of Lakes which is home to several fishing and hunting lodges.

Town of Kakabeka Falls

Kakabeka Falls Ontario

Situated right next to one of Northern Ontario’s natural wonders is the town of Kakabeka Falls. Located right off the Highway in town, Kakabeka Falls Park has a full viewing deck where you can see the waterfalls of the Kaministiqua River drop over 90 feet into a gorge. The view is especially spectacular during the spring runoff. The town itself has all the services and accommodations you need including a hotel, service stations and retail shopping.
