The oldest Provincial Park in the province, Algonquin is an institution. The drive through it is truly great, especially in fall when the colours are at their peak. But slow down and you’ll find some of the best biking and hiking trails in Canada, backcountry and full-amenities camping sites, amazing wildlife viewing and photography opportunities, and so much more. Even if you’re only stopping for a jump in a lake—you’ll be transformed by this vast wilderness.

Overlooking Lake Huron, this destination offers visitors more than 10 km of sandy beaches, 10 distinct walking trails, and 14 km of bike trails (or, during winter months, 38 km of groomed ski trails). Those looking for something more high-adventure can also rent canoes, hydro bikes, paddleboards, and more.

The Red Rock Superior Picnic table is located on the breakwater wall at the Red Rock Marina, overlooking Nipigon Bay on Lake Superior. Directions: Turn into the marina at the Red Rock Marina sign. Park at the Interpretive Centre, and follow the path to the right to the end of the break wall.

Red Pebbles Café is a family restaurant located in the Red Rock Recreation Centre. Just like sitting at Mom's table, you'll find what you're looking for to satisfy your cravings - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoy home cooked food including pizza, desserts, breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, daily specials, fun sides, fresh local ingredients and to top it off it's licensed too!

The Roberta Bondar Park and Tent Pavilion is an outdoor venue that can accommodate a variety of special events including: concerts, festivals, fundraising activities, ceremonies and wedding receptions. The Tent Pavilion facility can be booked on a part-day or full-day basis by individuals and not-for-profit and commercial groups.

The best beachcombers beach in the area is found at Pancake Bay Provincial Park. Over 3 kilometres of impeccable, photogenic sands make Lake Superior feel like the Caribbean.

The water at Pancake Bay is clear, crisp, and refreshingly chill, making it best on hot and calm days.

Great shop filled with souvenirs, beautiful home decor, clothing and homemade fudge and ice cream! Open Spring to Fall. Take your photo with the tall totem pole! 

Hannam Park is located in the Town of Rainy River on the Rainy River. There is something for everyone at this public park. There is a swimming area, a boat launch, a playground as well as a splash pad/wading pool! During the summer, there is a canteen with great food and service.

You can also go for a walk on the River Trails which are accessible from the park. One of two of the trails is wheelchair accessible. 

Machin Park sits where a Hudson Bay Post used to be on Eagle Lake. There is a great playground area for the kids and a small swimming area.

The park is also known as "The Post" or Hudson Post Park.
