Entrance to the wilderness," — that's exactly what Nopiming means in the Anishinabe language. You won't be disappointed at your arrival to the park, as this phrase aptly describes what you can expect.
The entrance road leads to miles of shield country, which is scattered with hundreds of crystal clear lakes that are rimmed by granite rock and sheltered by stands of black spruce, birch and poplar.

Watch for rare plants such as wild orchids, insect-eating plants and mushrooms.
This wetland is a sacred area that has been used by the local Ojibway for over 300 years to gather food and medicinal plants and for sacred ceremonies

It is home to Kenora Rowing Club, Garrow beach with accessible entry via Mobi Mat, docks, outdoor exercise stations, a picnic area, an accessible play structure, restrooms, pickleball courts and the Rabbit Lake Trail which is a paved accessible trail.
