Campers who have previously experienced the quality of our park return time and time again to stay with us while in the Thunder Bay area. We are located on Hwy. 11/17, just 16 miles West of Thunder Bay and 1 1/2 miles East of Kakabeka Falls. 

Halley’s Camps, a family business, has been a fishing destination for 79 years in Ontario, Canada. The incredible walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass fishing are truly out of this world on the English River located north of Minaki, Ontario. As we continue to operate as a family business (started in 1946), we see that traditions are still important—our fishermen return year after year. Fishermen not only boat large numbers of fish, but find that the quality of the fishery is amazing.

Our 1 and 2 bedroom fully-equipped cabins are surrounded by Crown Land, along the Murdock river, as it enters the top of the French River, making it the perfect location for hunting and fishing. We have a private boat launch on site, providing the only access to the Murdock River. There is a public boat launch across the road, providing access to the French River. Great Escape Cabins is minutes away from the C Trail, offering grocery packages and supplies to snowmobilers. Satellite TV and propane BBQ’s are included with each cabin. Boat and canoe rentals available.
