Thunder Bay Historical Museum

Located in a historic building, which once served as a Police Station and Court House, the Thunder Bay Museum offers visitors six galleries of local, regional and national heritage. Galleries include the first settlers, fur trade era, silver mining, shipping, and Thunder Bay through the centuries on the main floor, a rotating display on the 2nd floor, as well as military and music on the 3rd floor.

Thunder Bay Art Gallery

The Thunder Bay Art Gallery is the largest public gallery between Sault Ste. Marie and Winnipeg. The Gallery's Permanent Collection includes over 1600 works, the vast majority of which are traditional Woodland art, making it one of the most significant collections of Indigenous art in Canada. The Gallery presents more than 20 exhibitions by regional, national, and international artists every year.

Canadian Lakehead Exhibition

The Canadian Lakehead Exhibition is home to Thunder Bay’s Annual CLE fair. The fair will be celebrating 130 years in 2021, and offers a wide variety of family friendly activities include midway rides, a petting zoo, children’s area, live entertainment, games, and much more. The CLE grounds is also home to the annual Home and Garden Show in the spring, Thunder Bay Gymnastics Association, Thunder Bay Country Market, Boulder Bear Climbing Centre, and Silver City Movie Theatre.
