The Heritage River Walk is an easy 1.4-km walk that starts at the Centre and covered bridge, travels along the Magnetewan River and ends at the Burk's Falls Fairgrounds. You'll see a hydroelectric dam, wood sculptures, a waterfall, and options for side trails.
Some find them creepy others are fascinated—it's one of the most unique art installations in Canada. The artist, Peter Camani, welcomes visitors to wander the trails that wind through meadows, past woods and ponds, to get up close to this curious collection of sculptures—dozens of massive concrete "screaming heads" locked in a howl.
This is a private home as well as an art exhibit, so if the gate is closed just enjoy the view from the road.
Enjoy a piece of history by visiting the Hallett. This mighty tugboat was the strongest and largest ship in the fleet. Lumberjacks that towed pulpwood along Rainy Lake called the Hallett home until it was taken out of service in 1974. The 60-foot three-story tug now sits along the waterfront at the Sorting Gap Marina.
Northern Superior Brewing Co. has been part of the Sault Ste. Marie community and Algoma District for over a hundred years. Located in Lake Superior Provincial Park, along Trans Canda Hwy 17, Old Woman Bay is a beautiful, natural site. A long sandy beach greets visitors from the ample parking area. This day use area is a great for a leg stretch, a day of swimming, or a picnic spot.
Scenic High Falls of the Magpie River is a roaring waterfall located just south of the town of Wawa off Trans Canada Hwy 17. Follow the 1.5 mile gravel road to the bottom of this impressive waterfall. You will find ample parking, a covered area, and interpretive signage.

The Lost Villages are ten communities in the Canadian province of Ontario, in the former townships of Cornwall and Osnabruck (now South Stormont) near Cornwall, which were permanently submerged by the creation of the Saint Lawrence Seaway in 1958. The museum consists of ten heritage buildings, moved and restored to Ault Park from The Lost Villages and surrounding townships by Lost Villages History Society.
