The Norseman Park is home to an authentic Noordyn Norseman aircraft located in a scenic outlook looking over Red Lake's historic Howey Bay. Take the time to read the story of the Norseman plane on the intepretive panel found in the park. It is a place where people can sit along the waterfront and watch planes come in and out. There are benches for sitting as well as a grass area to have a small picnic. You are still able to watch floatplanes land and takeoff from this lookout. Better yet, book a scenic flight on a float plane.

The first Norseman Festival was held in 1992. This festival is held annually at the Phillip Thomas Vinet Centennial Park. Events include a Norseman fly-by, float pumping and floatplane loading competitions. Activities for participants include: sightseeing flights, concerts, family activities, family entertainment, softball tournament, fireworks, artisan and vendor market, and more.

The Miss McKenzie II: McKenzie Island's seasonal link to the mainland. This ferry transports people and goods from the mainland to their homes and cottages on McKenzie Island during the summer. When the lake freezes people either walk or drive to the island.

The Market & Events Pavilion was opened in December 2019. This facility provides an inclusive all-weather venue for multiple events & activites and includes a heated change room and restroom facilities.

The Lac Seul Walleye Cup is an annual event in Ear Falls, ON. Held the last weekend of July, it has a cap of just 100 boats. The action is sure to be great!

Kinsmen Beach is also known as Keesic Beach. The long, beautiful beach on Red Lake features swimming, a picnic area and flush restroom facilities. There is a play structure there as well as a shelter for family picnics. There is also a roped-off swimming area. No lifeguards are present.

The Red Lake Anishinaabe Pow Wow is held here annually in June. What a fabulous setting for a Pow Wow!!

This long, sand beach is the location of the Red Lake Anishinaabe Pow Wow held annually in June. Added bonus: there are flush washrooms on both sides.
 

Government Docks is located in downtown Red Lake, and includes a public boat launch and docks. It is also the site of the popular Red Lake Fall Classic, a fishing tournament held annually on Labour Day Weekend.

The Erle Crull Rock and Mineral Collection is located in the Municipality of Red Lake office in Balmertown. This collection features 2,600 specimens of rock and minerals from around the world. The display can be seen Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Admission is free.

Held annually in the last weekend of March. Join us for Trappers Time for Kids, card tournaments, a costume contest, curling bonspiel, dog sled rides, pony rides, kids crafts, baking contest, chili cook-off, pie contest, fireworks, karaoke contest, and a family breakfast.
