Slate Island Brewing Company is a small craft brewery on the northern shore of Lake Superior. Located in Terrace Bay, ON (approx. 2 hours east of Thunder Bay) They love to experiment with different beers and flavor profiles. The view from the taproom and patio features the lighthouse replica, and the namesake Slate Islands. The Schreiber Public Library is a community organization committed to the open provision of library resources that will enhance personal and community quality of life.

 Hike this scenic trail to enjoy spectacular panoramic vistas. This is a foot and bike path that runs along the crests and valleys of the Red Rock Mountain. This trail takes advantage of all sides of the mountain, offering nearly a full 360 degree view of the region and a variety of the area's stunning geological features. This trail provides stellar views of a variety of stunning features of this portion of Lake Superior and a great chance to sit back, relax and enjoy from any of the three platform lookouts.

Red Pine Outfitters has been owned and operated by the Miller Family since 1992. At Red Pines, we offer cabins, canoes, tents and bunk house rentals for your convenience. There are many little lakes to canoe and trails to go quading/4 wheeling on. We offers the experience of Adventure Tourism. Canoeing, quading excursions and snowmobiling are some of the activities you can enjoy. We also offer bear, moose and small game hunts – guided or not guided. Red Lion Smokehouse is a barbecue restaurant and smokehouse in Thunder Bay’s waterfront district. We love great food and good beer so we created a place where you can enjoy both. Our beer list is made up of craft brews from local breweries as well as our favourite British and American brews. Our food is homemade with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. We smoke our meat slow and low and then finish it in a Josper grill to seal in the flavour and keep the meat moist and tender.

Sit in our dining room overlooking Lake Superior and try our famous prime rib. The Red Dog Inn is the only restaurant on the north shore with a salad bar. We also have a conveniently located Pizza Hut Express on site.
 

The Atikokan Recreation and Wellness Centre was opened in 2018 when a multi-million dollar project to connect and renovate the existing Atikokan Municipal Swimming Pool and Community Arena was completed. The result of this project is a modern, fully accessible facility with a 14,580 square foot ice surface, 25m long pool and multi-purpose room perfect for rentals.
