Young’s Wilderness Camp is a fishing resort located in a secluded location on Lake of the Woods that has been creating memorable fishing trips since 1936. Young’s Wilderness Camp is a place where both serious anglers and families looking to relax can enjoy a peaceful and private outdoor experience. We offer fishing enthusiasts access to several species of fish, including Canadian muskies, pike, smallmouth bass and walleye. There are fish abound in our area, but we are also active in promoting conservation catching.

It is located about 75 Kilometers east of Thunder Bay Ontario in the Township of Dorion. The main season is from May (Victoria Day Weekend) to October (Thanksgiving Weekend). The campground has 50 sites, a dump station, a playground, and an unsupervised beach.

Windy Pine Cottages consists of four handsomely designed and constructed, well-maintained cottages, with one cottage being wheelchair accessible. All the amenities of the home with the fun of lakeside living.

The resort is accessed by a paved road to the lot line and there is 132 feet of floating dock with boat launch area. For winter fun, we also have two overnight Ice Shanty's which are heated and sleep six. Winter fishing in comfort.

In 1951, this parcel of waterfront land was deeded by the Carson and Cross families to the YM-YWCA to be used as a summer camp for youth. ln the intervening years, the Ministry of Government Services became the owner of the property. ln the early 80s, the Handicapped Action Group Inc. (HAGI) had a dream of expanding this camp into a facility that would allow disabled persons and their families to enjoy what many of us take for granted - life at the lake, swimming, fishing, boat rides and campfires.

 We operate the resort on a year-round basis having seven winterized two and three-bedroom cottages. We not only cater to the vacationing tourist, but also our location offers the working persons a home away from home. Many businesses, government, and corporate workers find our cottages the perfect setting for long stays when working in the Greenstone area. Telephone, Satellite TV, and Wireless High-Speed Internet are all available. Hot spots are free to use. We also offer seasonally service trailer sites. For one low price, you can have a fully serviced trailer site open for the summer.
