We are a family owned & operated cottage resort and campground located on the beautiful French River. Our property is dog friendly and features 5 fully equipped housekeeping cottages, boat launch & docking, boat rental, and both seasonal and weekly campsites.

Our 1 and 2 bedroom fully-equipped cabins are surrounded by Crown Land, along the Murdock river, as it enters the top of the French River, making it the perfect location for hunting and fishing. We have a private boat launch on site, providing the only access to the Murdock River. There is a public boat launch across the road, providing access to the French River. Great Escape Cabins is minutes away from the C Trail, offering grocery packages and supplies to snowmobilers. Satellite TV and propane BBQ’s are included with each cabin. Escape to our serene northern Ontario hideaway, located just minutes away from downtown North Bay. Our 1870 pioneer log house features two double bedrooms, each with a feather mattress and duvet. You'll have access to hiking trails right at your doorstep, and Trout Lake is just a step away for boating, fishing, or swimming. If you visit us in the winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and access to the snowmobile trail from the front door.

Gore Bay is a charming small town that boasts exceptional facilities, including a marina that is highly regarded by boaters. In fact, some have even gone so far as to call it "the best marina we've visited anywhere." Situated between two forested bluffs, the marina's picturesque location is just one of its many drawcards. Boaters also appreciate the marina's numerous features, which keep them returning year after year.

Our Lodge has ten cabins and several RV sites. The cabins can accommodate from 2 persons up to six in the largest one. You may choose an American plan stay, which includes all meals, or cook your own in your cabin. Our large dining room accommodates up to 25 people if you choose the American plan but is not a standard restaurant. The RV sites have water and electric hook-ups and there is a dump station for visitor and public use.
