Geological attractions in the park include examples of volcanic dikes from the Early Precambrian period and metamorphic hybrid minerals created from pressures deep within the earth’s crust. You might also spot some “felsic” igneous specimens. Felsic is a hybrid word referring to any light-coloured matter of igneous origin, part feldspar and part silica.

Lake Wolsey Obejewung Park

At Obejewung Park, we provide camping options for both trailers and tents. Trailer lots come with water hook-ups and 30-amp service, while a septic dumping station is accessible for our guests. Additionally, we have a beach, playground, and boat launch on the premises. On weekends, a seasonal snack shack is open from 5-8 pm. For your convenience, we sell ice cubes, firewood, and propane on-site.

John Budd Memorial Park

Named in honour of an early fish researcher, this public park is open for recreational activities. Campsites, some with hydro, water and septic hookups, are available for a fee. Picnics and local events are held under the large pavilion.

We offer guided trips 12 months a year. Ice fishing in either main lake with big ice shacks of remote back lake trips with snowmobile or snowshoe access. Spring and fall bear hunt catering to shotgun, rifle, bow and crossbow hunters. Whitetail deer hunt also caters to bow, crossbow, rifle and shotgun hunters. Summertime through to freeze-up fishing targeting trout, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, pike and muskie. With main lake shore lunch trips to more remote back lake adventures with the option of overnight camping on a remote lake, all fully guided with gear provided.

White Lake Provincial Park

White Lake was established as a Provincial Park in 1963, making 2013 our 50th anniversary! We are a Natural Environment class of Park and we are well known for our fantastic fishing (especially the Walleye!). White Lake Provincial Park is situated in pristine boreal forest, 35kms west of White River, Ontario and is well worth the trip, no matter where you are driving from.

The perfect camping destination for a family vacation, Hattie Cove campground is a short drive from the Trans-Canada Highway. It offers 67 vehicle-accessible campsites in Pukaskwa National Park’s front country with unparalleled solitude and privacy.

Campsites are designed to accommodate one motor vehicle and up to six people in two tents or one trailer/recreational vehicle with an additional tent or dining shelter.

Campsite check in and check out times are 11:00 a.m. Campsites at Hattie Cove campground are available on a first-come-first-stay basis.
