Assist business owners and council by fostering and promoting effective business development tools to enhance local commerce, and sustain an atmosphere that results from the presence of the BIA.
The purpose of the Waterfront District BIA is to facilitate a vibrant, diverse, mixed-use downtown area where residents and visitors collectively gather to enjoy a variety of businesses, shopping, entertainment, and recreational activities in a safe, beautiful environment.
There is no other place quite like the Ojibwe Cultural Foundation, just around the corner from Lillian’s in M'Chigeeng. Part art gallery (and oh, what art!), part breathtaking museum, and part cultural experience, visitors are invited to experience the authentic expression of the Anishinaabe language, culture, and spirituality. And don't forget the gift shop!
Stop by the gift shop in the Wiky Tourism Center, located in the heart of Wikwemikong. The gift shop is the go-to spot for genuine hand-made art, crafts, gifts, and a whole lot more. You can trust that everything you find there is made or sourced directly from local Anishinabe crafters, artisans, and vendors from Odawa Mnis-Manitoulin Island.
