Kakabeka Falls Beach is located in Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park, 19 miles (30.8 kms) west of Thunder Bay, in Ontario’s Superior Country. This is a sandy beach on the shore of the Kaministiquia River located upstream of the famed Kakabeka Falls.
Located in Marathon in Ontario’s Superior Country is Pebble Beach. This beach stretching 1.2 miles long and as the name suggests is landscaped in pebbles. The colorful rounded stones that make up this beach offers picturesque views of Lake Superior. The parking lot is situated just above the beach and offers spectacular views as well. From the parking area is a path that leads down to the beach, it is recommended to walk with caution down the path to the beach.
Chippewa Park hast been a favourite with visitors since it opened in 1921.

On the southern end of Ontario’s Thunder Bay adjacent Fort William’s First Nation, you’ll find the Chippewa Sandy Beach. There is a playground and picnic areas along with shallow waters perfect for swimming. Not far from the city itself, enjoy shopping, local attractions and sight seeing while in the area.
Built in 1903, Slate Islands Lighthouse is located within Slate Island Provincial Park, approximately 7.5 mi (12 km) south of Terrace Bay.
Lamb Island Lighthouse is located in Ontario’s Superior Country at the south end of the Nipigon Straits 56 miles (90 km) east of Thunder Bay. A light tower was originally placed on Lamb Island in 1877 later to be replaced in 1961 with a 45 foot (13.6 meters) square, skeletal light tower.

The Heritage River Walk is an easy 1.4-km walk that starts at the Centre and covered bridge, travels along the Magnetewan River and ends at the Burk's Falls Fairgrounds. You'll see a hydroelectric dam, wood sculptures, a waterfall, and options for side trails.
From Highway 17, you’ll be routed onto highway 11 which will bring you 150 km west to the park’s entrance. Covering an area of 460,000 ha, showcasing ample beauty to be seen everywhere you look and memorable experiences to discover. Spend the remainder of your day exploring the rugged beauty the park has to offer, from majestic waterfalls to endless snowshoe trails, there’s endless adventure.
An area treasured by locals, it is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located at 106th South Street, Thunder Bay, the island is conveniently located for locals and tourists. View the Sleeping Giant while exploring the paths and boardwalks and view and experience wildlife up close—the island is home to hundreds of migratory birds and a healthy deer population. Many visit the island solely to see the deer. Be sure to bring the camera along to capture your encounters!
