Supported by the RM of St. Andrews, the St. Andrews Heritage Centre showcases the history of the St. Andrews area. Tours, programs and events are held at the centre for the public to enjoy. The Heritage Centre is located in the St. Andrews Rectory, a National Historic Site owned by Parks Canada.

Established in 1972 the Marine Museum of Manitoba provides visitors with a hands on, heritage experience. We tell the story of the development and the operation of marine life on Lake Winnipeg and the Red River circa 1850 to present day. Visitors get to board the actual ships that navigated the waters of the world’s tenth largest lake and will learn about how the Port of Selkirk played a vital role in the development of Manitoba.

There are over 60 kilometers (35 miles) of waterways in the region. The area is the second most popular fishing region in the province; second only to the Red River. Situated at the boundary of prairie farmland and boreal forest, Lac du Bonnet is also bird watchers' paradise. Over 300 species of birds can be found within a few kilometers of the Winnipeg River. This variety is mainly due to the region's unique topography and assortment of rivers, lakes and marshes

Inside the Visitor Centre, displays present the history of the sanctuary, the biology of Canada geese and plenty of opportunities to view the geese up-close. Park Interpreters offer scheduled programs, activities and park information from spring to fall.

Beausejour Daylily Gardens, a two-acre display garden, has been recognized as the coldest American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) display garden on the planet.

The Forks shall be developed as a meeting place a special and distinct, all-season gathering and recreational place at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, through a mixed-use approach including recreational, historical and cultural, institutional and supportive commercial use.
