Completed in 1895, the Sault Ste. Marie Canal was once the world's longest lock, the first to operate using electricity and the last link in an all-Canadian navigational chain from the Atlantic Ocean to Lake Superior. Today, visitors will enjoy this great spot for boat-watching, picnics and a variety of other activities. Let a Parks Canada interpreter introduce you to the canal’s fascinating history, rent a Fat Bike, or join them for tea at the Superintendent’s Residence.

Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior, Red Rock, ON is the Gateway to the Scenic Nipigon Bay. Come visit and enjoy the museum and gift shop in this state of the art facility. The Visitor Information Centre is housed in the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre. It carries maps of local areas, including the locations of businesses, as well as various outposts and lodges.

Our objective of the Old Mill Heritage Centre is to gather, document, investigate and display historical facts, records and artifacts for the protection and pleasure of the valuable heritage. This is achieved by showcasing a pictorial history of Billings Township and Manitoulin Island, catering to both present and future generations. The Billings Museum Committee has the responsibility of managing both the Old Mill Heritage Centre and the Post Office Museum.

The Sturgeon River House Museum, located on the west bank of the Sturgeon River, promotes and preserves the cultural and natural heritage of the Municipality of West Nipissing. The Museum presents the fur trade era from 1623 to 1879, and pioneer life in West Nipissing between 1878 and 1939, along with cultural contributions among groups in the region.
