Our objective of the Old Mill Heritage Centre is to gather, document, investigate and display historical facts, records and artifacts for the protection and pleasure of the valuable heritage. This is achieved by showcasing a pictorial history of Billings Township and Manitoulin Island, catering to both present and future generations. The Billings Museum Committee has the responsibility of managing both the Old Mill Heritage Centre and the Post Office Museum.
The Nipigon Historical Museum collects, protects, and displays artifacts representing a time period of before European contact to present day. The Nipigon Historical Museum displays a number of artifacts that will help you to understand the rich history of the Town of Nipigon and its surrounding area. The Sturgeon River House Museum, located on the west bank of the Sturgeon River, promotes and preserves the cultural and natural heritage of the Municipality of West Nipissing. The Museum presents the fur trade era from 1623 to 1879, and pioneer life in West Nipissing between 1878 and 1939, along with cultural contributions among groups in the region.

The Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre has recently acquired various display components to enhance the delivery of its mandate to become not only a Travel Services Centre, but a Tourism destination in itself. The Lake of the Woods Discovery is home to one of six Science North Northern Nature Trading Hubs and THINK Hubs across northern Ontario.
