The Abitibi Golf Club was incorporated as a not-for-profit entity in 1952.  Our mandate is to provide the opportunity to play golf to our members, the citizens of Iroquois Falls, the residents of the surrounding areas and visitors to Iroquois Falls at a reasonable price.  The golf club's daily operations are based on an all-volunteer Board of Directors.

The famous Wawa goose is one of Canada's most iconic roadside attractions. The giant goose has been upgraded over the years and the current version stands tall, entertaining visitors from all over the world. Stop in the visitor's centre for information on Wawa and the Algoma region and to stock up on souvenirs. 

An important Canadian archaeological site, the ruins of the limestone building foundations that were once Fort St. Joseph, make a fascinating tour for any history buff. Let a well-informed Parks interpreter/guide explain the significance of the fort’s many buildings and show you the mysterious chimney, an iconic feature of the site whose presence cannot be explained through archaeological investigations.

A beautiful little rest stop with picnic tables by the lakeshore shaded by tall cedars and balsams. Look next to the boat launch, and you will find a bronze plaque erected in honour of a special Swedish Canadian woman, Louise de Kiriline Lawrence.
