You can find Mississagi Provincial Park in the Penokean Hills, within a 15-minute drive north from the city of Elliot Lake. The park is classified as a Natural Environment Park because of its significant, preserved natural features, such as its rolling hills, forests, lakes and streams. It was established in 1965 and consists of 4,900 hectares of pristine wilderness.

The Marathon Information Centre/Gchi-Waaswaaganing is fully staffed and operated from mid-May through to the end of September. The building is designed to reflect the communities in which it serves and highlights the vast history of the region. Local artisan works are displayed and available for purchase.

The Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre has recently acquired various display components to enhance the delivery of its mandate to become not only a Travel Services Centre, but a Tourism destination in itself. The Lake of the Woods Discovery is home to one of six Science North Northern Nature Trading Hubs and THINK Hubs across northern Ontario.

Iron Bridge Historical Museum

The museum is made up of historic buildings and artifacts from the area depicting the life of early settlers to the area. There is a weekly Farmers' Market during the summer months, a picnic area, and public washroom facilities.
