Held annually in the last weekend of March. Join us for Trappers Time for Kids, card tournaments, a costume contest, curling bonspiel, dog sled rides, pony rides, kids crafts, baking contest, chili cook-off, pie contest, fireworks, karaoke contest, and a family breakfast.
Held annually on the second last weekend of September. Celebrations include a family dinner and dance, outdoor market, pony rides, blow-up basketball, carnival games, face painting, community barbeque, live band at the Waterfront, family breakfast, pillow case relay, and pumpkin carving contest.
The Angler Young Angler program takes place in Red Lake, Ontario as well as many other cities in Canada and the U.S. The Angler & Young Angler Tournaments started in 1998 with the intent of giving youth the opportunity to fish in a competitive-style tournament in a fun environment, surrounded by family and friends.
Check out the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship tournament taking place on Rainy Lake. Anglers from all over the region take aim at catching the top prize in this fast-paced, three-day, live release race for the biggest smallmouth bass. The town also celebrates with events in the days leading up to and during the tournament.
Enjoy family friendly activities throughout the year including Easter Egg Festival in the spring, Pumpkin Fest in the fall, and Sleigh Rides in the winter.

Town Beach and Farlinger Park is currently undergoing waterfront construction.
The Canada Games Complex offers an opportunity to participate in a variety of social, recreational, competitive, instructional and therapeutic activities. The Complex operates a unique, accessible, multi-purpose community facility in a safe and enjoyable environment. The Complex is Thunder Bay's premier aquatic facility.
