Housed in a turn of the century mansion, the former residence of lumber baron William Joseph Bell, the gallery has a unique architectural appeal. Local history and contemporary works of art come together in the lush surroundings of the Gallery grounds. Exciting exhibitions, lecture series, art classes, and special events make the gallery a gathering place for the local community.

The Art Gallery is open to the public year-round. Closed for renovations!

Algoma Highlands Wild Blueberry Farm & Winery

Algoma Highlands Wild Blueberry Farm and Winery is a 640-acre family farm located in Wawa, Ontario. It uses an old tree nursery to process and ship wild blueberries and makes a variety of products like wine, jams and sauces. The site is a unique geological one, consisting of 100% sand being old Lake Superior beachfront from times gone by, which is ideal for the encouragement of wild blueberry plants. There is a strawberry U-Pick each harvest season and the farm offers winery tours which include wine-tasting in their gift shop.

It is recommended to allow at least an hour to explore this beautiful barn-style shop.

Norseman Festival

The first Norseman Festival was held in 1992. This festival is held annually at the Phillip Thomas Vinet Centennial Park. Events include a Norseman fly-by, float pumping and floatplane loading competitions. Activities for participants include: sightseeing flights, concerts, family activities, family entertainment, softball tournament, fireworks, artisan and vendor market, and more.

The Market & Events Pavilion was opened in December 2019. This facility provides an inclusive all-weather venue for multiple events & activites and includes a heated change room and restroom facilities.
