Big Tub Lighthouse

Originally constructed in 1885 for $675, the Big Tub Lighthouse played an important role in guiding ships into the harbour from the sometimes treacherous waters of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
Tobermory’s light still guides boats through powerful currents, frequent fogs and numerous shoals to the safety of Big Tub Harbour.

Indigenous Ingenuity Northern Tour - Sudbury

This travelling exhibition celebrates and explores the innovations of Indigenous peoples of North America and their effects on the world. The Sudbury stop is at Science North from September 20th and is in the lobby, so it's free of charge.

Point Prim Lighthouse

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Charlottetown before heading east to Wood Island where you will take the 75-min ferry crossing to Caribou in Nova Scotia. On the way, take a slight detour to visit Point Prim to see the province’s oldest lighthouse and get close to the famous red sands for which PEI is so well known.

Anne of Green Gables Museum

Stop by the Anne of Green Gables Museum at the beautiful Campbell Homestead, a museum dedicated to the life and works of the author of Anne of Green Gables, Lucy Maud Montgomery. View the many artifacts and places that she wrote about such as the Lake of Shining Waters, Anne's Enchanted Bookcase and a unique collection of the author's belongings.

Charlottetown
