Located along the Trans Canada Highway, minutes Northwest of the bustling community of Wawa, Ontario, you will find Catfish Lakefront Cabins.  The cabins and grounds sit lakefront on its namesake, Catfish Lake.  Despite the ease of access, the property provides quiet comfort and privacy with no neighbors nearby.  Relatively calm, the lake is 2 miles long and is home to Walleye (pickeral), Northern Pike, and Lake Trout. 

This municipal campground and trail network is located in Terrace but when you are exploring the trails, you'll feel like you are in the middle of the forest. These easy walking trails wind through towering trees, many of which feature carved faces and animals in the thick bark of the cottonwoods.

The best beachcombers beach in the area is found at Pancake Bay Provincial Park. Over 3 kilometres of impeccable, photogenic sands make Lake Superior feel like the Caribbean.

The water at Pancake Bay is clear, crisp, and refreshingly chill, making it best on hot and calm days.

Poplar Park Beach is located in the Municipality of Greenstone 9 miles (14.8kms) east of Beardmore up Highway 580 in Ontario’s Superior Country Region. This is a beautiful sandy beach on the shore of Lake Nipigon at Poplar Lodge Park. Ideal for swimming, sun bathing and sand castles. Amenities available are comfort station, boat launch, boardwalk, change room, playground and campground.

Just shy of 55 miles east of Terrace Bay in Ontario’s Superior Country. This 1.2 mile long sandy beach on the Shore of Lake Superior’s Ashburton Bay is within Neys Provincial Park and offers shallow swimming areas. Little Pic River flows into Lake Superior at one end of the beach while at the other end is a volcanic rock dating back before time.

Built in 1903, Slate Islands Lighthouse is located within Slate Island Provincial Park, approximately 7.5 mi (12 km) south of Terrace Bay.
