So much more than a B&B, Twin Peaks very much resembles a quaint and elegant Victorian style Inn.  Set on 12 lush acres, this spacious B&B offers four unique and comfortable rooms all with private ensuite bathrooms.  Situated in central Manitoulin and close to the town Mindemoya, Twin Peaks is just minutes away from shopping, dining and many points of interest that are unique to the world's largest freshwater island.  We are open on a year-round basis.

Trestle Ridge Ski Hill

The Trestle Ridge Ski Hill offers eight ski runs, ranging from beginner to intermediate-advanced. Trestle ridge is proud to operate the largest Terrain Park, between Lutsen and Sault St. Marie, with beginner and intermediate sized features. They offer a fully equipped rental and repair shop, with a wide variety of skis and snowboards. Ski and snowboarding lessons are available, with advanced notice. Light snacks are available at the ski chalet.

Thessalon Recreational Trails

Enjoy nature at its best, challenging hills and a beautiful lookout with a tremendous view of the valley and town. Groomed trails with marked signage are provided by volunteers and welcoming landowners, the Thessalon Ski Trail is a picturesque adventure. The trails are equally accepting of beginners and moderate skiers with unique terrain and natural beauty. Outhouse facilities are available.

 In December 2021 the Stewart Highlands Trails opened for year-round use to hike, bike, snowshoe, and cross-country ski. 

Algonquin Provincial Park

The oldest Provincial Park in the province, Algonquin is an institution. The drive through it is truly great, especially in fall when the colours are at their peak. But slow down and you’ll find some of the best biking and hiking trails in Canada, backcountry and full-amenities camping sites, amazing wildlife viewing and photography opportunities, and so much more. Even if you’re only stopping for a jump in a lake—you’ll be transformed by this vast wilderness.

Deerhurst Resort

Enjoy the quintessential Muskoka experience at Deerhurst. If you’ve got time for a bit of play, there’s canoeing and trails, but if you just want an incredibly tranquil and well-appointed spot to enjoy the lakeside vibe, Deerhurst is the place for you. Their on-site restaurants and bars will ensure you can get some downtime in before hitting the road.

Dacre Heights

Dacre Heights is private property but you're welcome to ski, snowshoe, hike, bike, and run all over the hill.

Ghost Lake Beach

Ghost Lake Beach is about 15 minutes from Dryden. It's a beautiful beach, with easy access for day-trippers, anglers, and swimmers. There is a boat launch, canoe rental, walking path, a picnic area, and restrooms. Great place to spend the day with the family.

 

In the winter, the area can be used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club

The Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club trails are located in Northwestern Ontario just outside of Fort Frances, and are open to the public. The trails cover 15 km of groomed skate & classic tracks and 5 km of snowshoe trails. Rental equipment (self-serve) is available on site. All ages are welcome.

Trowbridge Falls

Trowbridge Falls

Trowbridge Falls is northeast of Thunder Bay across from Centennial Park. The falls are a smaller set, closer to the size of rapids. Current River runs over the rocks that create the falls. The Trowbridge Falls is connected to Centennial Park by a bridge and Cascades Conservation Area to the north. These falls offer a beautiful view of the river and surrounding forest area; providing a relaxing location after a long hike or hot day.
