Bellevue Park is Sault Ste. Marie's main passive park. It is 17 hectares in size and offers a large playground area, 2.4 kilometres of asphalt walkway, multiple floral beds and a display greenhouse which is open to the general public. The playground area features the new Adventure & Sensory Playground.
Foster Lake Park is known for its scenic view, sandy beach, cool waters and playground area. The shaded shelters with picnic tables make for the perfect post-swim, lunchtime spot. The outdoor privy's and change room are a bonus too! ;)

A perfect little spot to stop and fuel up after some incredible riding. Thanks to some recent work, a lot of the roads in this area have been freshly repaved—and they are lovely winding, sweeping curves all the way from Highway 400 to Highway 11. This is a quiet area, allowing you to enjoy the scent of the boreal forest, the lakes and streams dotting the landscape as you ride, and the small towns dotted along the way.
The Nipigon Superior Picnic table is located at the marina alongside the majestic Nipigon River, with a view of the Nipigon River Bridge. Directions: Once at the marina, go straight following the signs to the picnic area. The table is at the far end of the marina, near the accessible paddle docks.
The Red Rock Superior Picnic table is located on the breakwater wall at the Red Rock Marina, overlooking Nipigon Bay on Lake Superior. Directions: Turn into the marina at the Red Rock Marina sign. Park at the Interpretive Centre, and follow the path to the right to the end of the break wall.
The Dorion Superior Picnic table is located on the water’s edge where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Superior with your meal. Check out the interpretive information and take a stroll down the nature trail. Directions: The turnoff is 1 km west of The Grill Shack on Highway 11/17, follow the signs. The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority is the steward of this area. Please support them by paying the $5. parking fee.
Katherine Cove, located in Lake Superior Provincial Park, is a sheltered bay on the Big Lake. The turn-off to the rest area is well marked and visitors are greeted to ample parking, restroom facilities, a soft sandy beach, and interpretive signage.
