Located on Hwy 11 East, the Welcome Centre is the place to visit to plan your stay. It is opened all year long from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the summer, it is opened from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our team will be happy to provide all relevant information to your stay regarding the many activities and services provided in our community as well as our region.

Eagle Ridge also offers 3 RV campsites, 2 rental cabins, general store, and in-ground swimming pool, sauna, and a large picnic area.
Founded in 1977 by Gunnard Noyes, Diamond Willow Amethyst Mine still remains as a family owned and operated amethyst mine passed down. Located beside Blue Points Amethyst mine they are just 55 kms east of Thunder Bay off Hwy 11/17 on Road #5 North. The mine is free of charge, and they charge by the bucketful or you can visit their gift shop for a polished piece of amethyst.
A sustainable pick-your-own and "fresh picked for you" fruit and vegetable farm. Well-known for their strawberry picking, however you can also pick many other fruits and vegetables like peas, potatoes, and of course pumpkins in the fall. They offer both guided and self-guided tours, as well as an onsite gift shop. They are located 60 kilometres east of Thunder Bay on Hwy 11/17 on East Loon Rd. Travel 8 kilometres to Bass Lake Rd.
Vanderwees is a locally owner greenhouse who offers quite a variety of activities for the entire family. During the summer months, they offer an outdoor funland which includes midway rides, train ride, animals, bouncy features and more. During the winter they have an indoor funland that has go-carts, sand area, and more. They also hold many events including pictures with Santa, and an Easter Egg hunt.
