Le Discovery North Bay Museum est situé dans la gare historique du Canadien Pacifique, au coin de la rue Oak et de la rue Ferguson au centre-ville de North Bay. Construit en 1903, la gare a été restaurée en 2004 pour abriter le musée. La North Bay Area Museum Society a été fondée en 1973 en tant qu'organisme sans but lucratif et organisme de bienfaisance enregistré pour préserver et célébrer l'histoire du Nord Bay.
Focusing on the late 1800s to 1960s, this community museum encompasses a wide range of subject matter, including social history as well as a good representation of working class and professional categories. Travelling exhibits, workshops and interpretive tours of the immediate area are offered.
